Tariq Dennison

Tariq Dennison TEP joined MWC in June 2024 as a US specialist, with over 20 years experience.  Prior to MWC, he founded GFM Group, a type 9 licensed asset manager based in Hong Kong, where he lived for 11 years, and GFM Asset Management, a US SEC Registered Investment Adviser.  Earlier in his career, Tariq also worked at Accenture in San Francisco, Commerzbank, Bear Stearns and JP Morgan in New York, CIBC in Toronto, London and Hong Kong, and Société Générale in Hong Kong.

Tariq holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and the History of Philosophy from Marquette University, and a Masters in Financial Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley's Haas School of Business.  He then served on the faculty of ESSEC Singapore, where he taught Fixed Income and Alternative Investments for the Masters in Finance and Masters in Management Programs from 2017-2023.  He is the author of two books on investing: "Invest Outside The Box", and "10 Ways To Invest".

Tariq is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and is a very enthusiastic adviser to clients with "one foot in the US and one foot outside the US" on all matters of investing, insurance, estate, and tax planning.
